About Us
APEC
Apec (Management Jobs Association) is a French organisation
founded in 1966 to promote openness and efficiency in the management
jobs market.
With 46 centres spread across France and 888
employees, including over 640 recruitment and career management
professionals, Apec offers personalised advice and tailor-made solutions
for companies and managers. Today, 50,000 companies and 600,000 managers
– young graduates, managers in work or seeking jobs – use Apec’s
services in its 46 national centres or via apec.fr, one of the most
powerful, efficient websites on the market, registering over 32 million
visits a year. Apec is thus the leader of the management jobs market in
France.
Apec is also the leading organiser of management
recruitment events in France. In 2007, it organised a wide range of
large-scale events:
- 4 national fairs: 2 “Profiles Co” Fairs and 2
“European Engineer Fairs” (341 companies met 12,200 managers)
-
1 international fair, the International Career Fair in San Francisco,
targeting very high-level international profiles (40 exhibitors, 1,300
candidates of 110 different nationalities)
- Twenty regional forums
(276 companies, nearly 10,000 managers)
THE FRANCO-GERMAN FORUM
In its dual capacity as a
recruitment fair and a student fair, the Franco-German Forum is an
effective communication platform and the only one of its kind. Its aim
is unique, too: to bring together higher education establishments, major
educational and research institutions, students and graduates interested
in the partner country.
The Franco-German Forum takes place in
Strasbourg every autumn. In 2007, 7,000 visitors travelled to Strasbourg
to meet 207 exhibitors, including 73 companies, from eight European
countries.
The Franco-German Forum is an event organised by the
Franco-German University.
THE FRANCO-GERMAN UNIVERSITY
The Franco-German University
(UFA) is an international institution founded in 1997 at the
Franco-German summit in Weimar. UFA began its work in September 1999.
UFA
consists of a solid network of 150 French and German higher education
establishments offering over 150 integrated bi-national and tri-national
courses to nearly 4,700 students every year.
UFA’s aim is to
strengthen cooperation between France and Germany in higher education,
research and the training of future researchers.
UFA also supports
research and development cooperation and encourages close exchanges and
cooperation between young researchers.
Through these programmes, UFA
makes a significant contribution towards the networking and structuring
of a common PhD training programme and, therefore, to the construction
of a European research space.
